The leather jacket is a classic wardrobe staple. Every fall they come out of hibernation from closets all over the world; ready to add a dose of cool to someone’s style. I’ve owned a plethora of leather jackets in my life. Short, long, colorful, rugged, smooth and studded. This season leather is being upgraded with beautiful embroidery.
Initially, I thought the trend was too feminine for me. But I decided to give this leather jacket a whirl. It was hard to deny how undeniably cool this jacket actually is. The color of the leather is what attracted me. It’s different in comparison to most leather jackets I’ve seen adorn with the embroidery trend. Most leather is typically dark. This was a nice surprise. I realized that I am keen on the juxtaposition of the floral embroidery and leather; albeit I had originally ruled the look “too feminine”. There is something imaginative about the marrying of the two. They compliment each other and lend characteristics from one another.
HOW TO WEAR IT
The pencil skirt and knit top is a classic outfit formula. Add an embroidered jacket for a twist. If you’re like me, sometimes your wardrobe becomes void of color in the cooler months. This cream leather jacket was a great way to inject color into my look. The gorgeous embroidery on the sleeves adds a chic element. Don’t shy away from accessories. Incorporating colors that match the motif, adds to the overall look. Last but not least, pair with booties and you’re bound to turn heads in this updated classic look.
