What I Wore

Maximize Your Wardrobe

Summer weekends are best when spent in casual attire. Getting dressed on the weekends should be an easy task. Just because you seek a casual look doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style. A tee + maxi on their own are wardorbe MVPs but when they come together they are unstoppable. Both are some of the most universally wearable pieces for any body type. Another perk is that most people already own these pieces. You don’t need to make a trip to the mall.

The key to creating a cool summer look is all in the way that you assemble pieces. Your closet is full of stylish outfit possibilities. Uber cool summer fashion is all about implementing clean styles and wardrobe basics. I’m a shoe person, so naturally I’m all about adding a fun pair of platform sandals or mules to elevate my cool and casual summer style. Just add a neck scarf and sunnies for a comprehensive winning summer look.

Don’t be afraid to try new things. This is true when it comes to wearing something in your closet a different way, for instance tying an unstructured tee at the waist or wearing a vest as a top. This is also the best way to maximize your pieces. We all like new clothes but attempt at o make the best out of what you have before you start dishing out $$$ for new threads.

When in doubt call a stylish friend for help. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh set of eyes to put things into perspective. They can breathe new life into those items in the back of your closet, and back into rotation. Even go as far as to have a photo session so that you have photos of these looks tonrefer back to I the future.
