What I Wore

Choose the Right Neckline for Your Body Type

With beautiful weather on the horizon, there is more of a consciousness of what we wear and how we look in what we’re wearing. The warmer weather calls for shorter hems and daring necklines. Finding a great neckline is important. You want to accentuate your shape.

I’ve found that sweetheart shape and curved necklines work for bustier or curvier women. Finding the right neckline can make or break your look. I know that a neckline with a ruffle or pleated front adds bulk to the area. A flat front or a halter style is perfect because it accentuates by neck and shoulders and draws attention towards my face. For women that aren’t as curvy a deep v-neckline helps to create curves. A scooped neckline also helps to create the illusion of curves. If you worry about having too much exposed skin, by adding a necklace you can fill up some of the space so that you don’t feel bare.

The most important thing is that you feel confident in what you’re wearing. Confidence can help you pull off any look.
